Tick Tock.....My last full night of being 40...groan

Hey There

Well it almost our last night of 2008. Dang time sure goes by fast as you get older, remember when you where a kid time just dragged by. I will be extra old Thursday 1/1/09 the big 41...I swear I just turned 40.

This week has been good I am over excited about vacation. I am worried about the snow we have coming though I better be able to fly out on time Saturday morning. We are having a storm tomorrow they are forecasting another 5-7 inches and something may come in Friday night but possibly will turn to rain ( I hope).

My Delilah is so cute tonight she is walking around all bleary eyed hopping from her daddy's lap to a blanket....now for some reason she just ran across the floor at 100 mph.....Crazy cat.

I have no special plans for New Year's eve, just want to get home safe from work tomorrow eve then just have a nice dinner and watch some t.v. Year's back I was all into going in town (Boston) and getting wasted and freezing my bippy off. So glad I am past that craziness. I hope everyone has a great New Year's eve though Be safe if you are traveling.

I have made my packing list for vacation and will pack my clothes on Thursday; I am a organization freak especially when it comes to going on vacation. I will get a double paycheck tomorrow so I will feel rich woo hoo! Well thats about it for tonight.

Delilah's Christmas presents video

Christmas is over now the countdown is on…..

Well it seems everyone had a good Christmas after reading all your journals, that is good to hear. We had a wonderful relaxing day just what I needed. On Christmas eve we stayed home and just hung out with my friend and one of Dave’s friends. I had a lot of good pictures but I accidentally wiped my camera card I thought the pictures had already copied to my computer but they had not. Lets just say there was a little cussing at my house at that moment. I do have some pictures though as you see I have 2 digital camera’s a small one and a more professional digital SLR 10 megapixel; I only wiped the card on the big camera.

I made dinosaur eggs for breakfast Christmas morning and the we had the most wonderful dinner: Prime Rib roast, baked potatoes, broccoli and cheese sauce. The roast took 5 hours to cook but it was out of this world. We used a Paula Dean Recipe off the web. You put the roast in at 375 for 70 minutes or(12 minutes per pound) then turn off the oven, DO NOT OPEN the oven door, let it stay in the oven for 3 hours, then you turn the oven back on at 375 for about 30 minutes. We did a 5.88 lb roast and it came out rare/medium rare it was perfect.

We spent the day in our P.J.’s lounging watching movies it was very nice. Delilah was a riot I got her a new toy on a stick and a tub of catnip with a ball. She was too funny with the cat nip rubbing her face on the container trying to get it open.

I have one return I feel so bad…LOL I paid for a portion of Dave’s plane ticket as his Christmas present but wanted to have at least one thing for him to have on Christmas so I got this really cool pair of suede and fleece massaging slippers. They vibrate! Well he liked them and he put them on his feet and something was wrong……..there where 2 left feet slippers! I do not know how that happened now I have to bring them back. I have been enjoying my present from him immensely he got me the Microsoft Zune 120gig.

Here is a link that show’s you what it is: Microsoft Zune I just love it, I have an iPod but this is so much better, I highly recommend it. so far I already have 4,300 songs, 38 full length audio books, 200 pictures, many podcasts, around 20 videos including a full length TV show, 5 free games and I still have 92 gigs of empty space left! I also joined the marketplace for $14.99 a months which lets me download as many songs as I want and I get to keep 10 songs a month. On my computer I have over 4000 songs but it is good to get new stuff too.

Now after this long holiday weekend only for more work days until I will be going to the Florida Keys!!!! We have Thursday off for New Years which also happens to be my birthday so I will be packing. This is where we are staying I got us a king size bed with a pool/garden view.

It's almost Christmas Eve and all is Well .....Sorta

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas and Hanukkah! I hope your day is filled with love and happiness. I know a few J-Land/blogger friends are going through hard times this holiday so I just wanted to say my prayers and thoughts are with you all.

I am in a good mood today, just bummed that I am at work for the whole day! Unless someone get's a little Christmas spirit and lets us leave a little early at least. The only reason I am bummed is that I did not do food shopping for Christmas! Since we had the snowstorm last weekend it ruined my shopping plans. Last night I had to get presents for co-workers. My jeep is still broken so I have to rely on a ride from my friend/co-worker. I could use Dave's X-terra when I get home but I do not see good at night and do not like driving in the dark. So tonight after work it will be a mad rush to get to the grocery store and get what I need before 6 p.m.

I will be making my dinosaur eggs for Christmas morning its a tradition from when I was a kid. They are really called Scottish eggs but my mom gave them a better name. They are basically hard boiled eggs wrapped in jimmy Dean sausage then baked, so they make these big balls that look like dinosaur eggs....Yummy! This is pictures from last year....

As long as I get to the grocery store tonight we will be have a prime rib roast, baked potatoes, sauteed mushrooms, asparagus or broccoli, and maybe steamed carrots. I had my fill of turkey and ham on Turkey day I want some red meat.

We got a little snow….Like over a foot!

Hi There

I have been so busy so I hope everyone is well. After the last 2 hectic weeks I hope to be able to relax this coming up weekend for the Christmas break and catch up on all your blogs!

Well we have had our 1st and 2nd major winter storm in the same weekend. It started snowing Friday afternoon around 2 p.m. and basically just stopped a few hours ago Sunday afternoon.

I have some cool pictures to put up. On Friday night me and Dave took a ride in the snowstorm since he was dying to try his truck in the snow since we did not have snow last year when he got his X-terra.

I love the snow but it has really put me behind for Christmas shopping. I plan on getting gift cards but I have not even been able to leave the house this weekend due to the weather. I see myself on Christmas eve as usual losing my mind. On a happy note our plane tickets are purchased we will be flying out the weekend after New Years to Fort Lauderdale then drive down to the Keys. New Years day is my birthday I will be the big 41…..groan.

Checking in

Hi Everyone

Just wanted to check in and say hello. I have been extremely busy at work and we had mandatory overtime starting last week. So I work all day and come home and work some more (I can access the company websites online). Last week I did 8 hours of overtime that may not seem like a lot to some but I hate overtime I just want to work and have my day done at 4:30. We are trying to get all the January 1st car insurance renewal out the door but since the laws changed we have to remarket everyone's policies to be sure they are getting the best price....its stinks as we have hundreds and there is me and 1 part timer doing it. I did kick but since last Wed until today Monday I have done around 100 so we should get them out the door in time. Enough about that....Ewww.

I have gotten 1 present for someone, yes that is it I am so behind. I do not have a lot to buy for but I know on Christmas eve I will be getting those gift cards for the rest. I am kind of wishing Christmas would get over so my vacation would get here! Not that I do not love Christmas I do, but soaking up the Rays in the Florida Keys is what I need about now. OMG we went to buy our tickets on Priceline Saturday so Dave goes online and he chooses an morning flight to leave on and and evening flight to return on....well when the confirmation came back it had it reversed! So Dave calls priceline and they said they cannot fix it but have to cancel the reservation and my money will be returned in 48 hours if the charge did not got through or 5 to 10 days if it went through!!!!! AUGH now that ties up $600 of our cash I keep checking the bank and its not back yet. Doing stuff online is great but sometimes I miss the good old days of dealing with a human being.

We have had some crazy weather Saturday it was like 10 degree's out and today its in the 60's it has been up and down all last week. I did not mean to just be a big ole complainer on this entry....ooops but I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and what ever else you may celebrate as I am doing overtime again this week and may not to post. It’s Snowing out!!!! And some of my Christmas Decorations.

It’s Snowing out!!!! WOO HOO, the first snow of the year is magical! Have a look:

I feel Somewhat better but not 100 percent, still coughing a lot. This weekend we have just hung out at home just a few stops to the store where I got a few more decorations. I have to still finish the outside of the house and get the tree but the rest is pretty much done.

I am so Excited Dave is getting me the 120gb Microsoft Zune for Christmas, it can hold up to 30,000 songs , 25,000 pictures and 375 hours of video. I am a gadget freak so this will be good, I have an ipod nano but need more space. I put my vacation time up on the board for the 1st full week in January…Florida Keys here we come!
