I hope everyone has a great weekend! Tomorrow we are having DirectTV installed we are switching from Com cast those dang lying jerks! I ordered HBO from them 2 months ago after asking how much it was a month they promised it would only be $14.50 more a month, I took names down. Now last month it was wrong shown on the bill for $28.50 for HBO! I called and the lady said she would credit it me and assured me next month it would only be $14.50.....so this months bill comes and it's $28.50 again. I called and was told by a haughty representative I was wrong and the price was never $14.50 but as a courtesy she would credit me one months charge but after that it would be $28.50. That was it, Dave went online and found a super great TV package with Direct TV with more channels, HD, and the DVR included for less than what we pay now. I dialed Comcast gleefully to cancel our service and they where oh so nice saying they would match DirectTV's price....sorry, you lied to me you are done!

Other than that I have no major plans for the weekend except I will probably start some seedlings indoors for the garden. It is suppose to be pretty crappy weather wise this weekend so it will be a good hibernate weekend and maybe a nice home cooked meal on Sunday. I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

I am so excited I was able to catch the little bird party out my kitchen window this morning with my camera. Now I am taking these photos through glass and a screen so some may not be as crisp as I would like. Notice the naughty little cat who had to come and scare them away!

WONDERFUL SPRING!!!!

I can not wait as I am sure many of you are eagerly looking forward to spring as well. I hate March though as you have a beautiful warm day and the next day you are back in your winter jacket.

I got a wonderful surprise this morning I went to the kitchen window to look at my bird feeders and the birds finally decided to show up and have a little party. This morning I saw a wood pecker, a martin, a blue jay, a Cardinal and cute little sparrows! I did not want to move to get my camera as it was in the other room but I will be getting bird shot's soon!

I made a new spring wreath the other day for the front door, I also bought some bird houses to paint they are so much cheaper if you just buy them unfinished and paint them yourself. I am planning on trying a new craft this year; I want to try making my own wind chimes as the store's want ridiculous money for some that I am sure I can make myself and possibly even nicer.

I can not tell you how glad I am this week is almost over I am really looking forward to the weekend to start painting my bird houses. I ordered some cool stuff for outside from LTD Commodities catalog I bought a bird bath with a built in bird feeder and solar light, 6 solar lights for outside for the walkway, 2 solar light lanterns that have bears and deer on them, a topsy turvy planter things (supposedly you can plant a tomato plant upside and it will grow); and some plant seed balls.

I hope everyone makes it through Friday and can enjoy there weekend me and Dave have a list of movies to watch we got: The punisher, Australia, Mama Mia, Transporter 3, In the Electric Mist and Laview Terrace.

Ooooh...... I am definitely buying Twilight it comes out Saturday right after I get my hair cut in the morning. Ok well I have blabbed enough here are some pictures of the corned beef dinner Dave made last Sunday and my wreath and bird houses.

Well Top of the morning to you! I hope everyone has a fun St. Patrick's day even if your not Irish you can pretend to be for one day at least. I am Irish plus a few other nationalities thrown in for good measure.

This past weekend was so wonderful weather wise I did not sit in the house on the computer like a lump on the couch I was outside pretty much all weekend. I got some cute things at the dollar store for my porch, I also got some herbs and cute pots to grow them in. Dave made the most excellent boiled dinner Sunday he used Martha Stewart's recipe. I bought two different cuts of corned beef the point cut and the flat cut, it sat overnight in the water with the seasonings. Then we used red bliss potatoes, pearl onions and baby peeled carrots, just a little piece of cabbage for Dave since I hate cabbage.....It was so good but I forgot to download that picture so that will be forth coming. Here are some odd and end picture's of the stuff I bought and just general stuff ( I got this at the dollar store...Bargains's!)

Logitech Rocks, poor kitty and general updates

Hi everyone,

Well today is a bright beautiful day even though it is still chilly out. My day started with a very sad sight a poor little dead cat laying in the road on the way to work! All I could think was the poor baby and that could be some child's pet. People please do not let your cat's out it is dangerous out there for them they do not understand that they can not out run cars. I know who ever hit him should of stopped and not left him in the road....SHAME ON YOU. I called the animal department as soon as I got to work so they could take the poor kitty out of the road.

On to other things well I finally feel better that cold/flu bug lasted two long weeks. Both Dave and myself went to the doctor's Monday we go in together my doctor is the coolest! Anyway I have been having my usual back problems and I have this shishy lump on my knee. Dr. Ho told me it's a fatty tumor.....oh lovely....he said don't worry if it gets bigger or bothers me I can have it removed. Poor Dave has high blood pressure and the doctor put him on meds he will have to go back for a follow up. Time to start eating healthier and exercising, it is so hard when you live in a place that has been cold and snowy and dark for the past five months. What I need is for spring to get here, to smell the fragrance of flowers in the air, to see fresh grass and leaves popping up......ahhhh spring and with spring comes camping!

I wanted to give props to the company Logitech for their beyond excellent customer service! I am a gamer and if there is one item I do not skimp on is my computer and all the peripherals that go with it so when my $100 Logitech G9 Laser mouse just stopped working yesterday I almost cried. It is just under 1 year old and probably the best mouse I have ever used and it is great even if you do not game. Anyway I was just visioning the money I would have to spend to replace it when Dave suggested I call the company as he heard the where great on customer service I begrudgingly decided to call in the morning as I hate arguing with customer service. So today I made the call I was just imagining I would be on the phone for ever with someone who does not speak English well in India imagine my surprise when I was only on hold around 2 minutes and an American picked up the phone, a kind, helpful knowledgeable American at that! I described my problem he asked me a few questions and guess what!!!! A new one free of charge is on the way to me, no arguing, no yelling, no cussing required! It's good to see there is a company that still stands behind their products.





I hope everyone has a good weekend I am just dying to cook boiled dinner I love corned beef!!!! I hate cabbage though so when I make it I only use corn beef, carrots, onions and potatoes with plenty of seasoning. Then when it's done I have to smash all my vegetables together and add butter with spicy mustard on the meat....oh gee I am drooling better start riding that exercise bike that has been collecting dust before I have that this weekend.

Where has the week gone?

Just had to share this picture, he is like no ma I don't like broccoli

I wanted to first thank everyone for their prayers my aunt's surgery was a success all those extra prayers did the trick! That is the good news the bad news well it's not too bad except if your me is that I have been horribly sick for 8 days now. I felt a sore throat coming on last Thursday and by Friday I was having severe sinus pressure pain so I was miserable all last weekend; and I really feel bad for Dave because I am a miserable to be around when I am sick. Then I started to feel somewhat human and had to come to work in the snowstorm Monday then I woke up Tuesday with razor blade feeling in my throat again and the head pain and just aches....so I stayed home Tuesday and Wednesday from work. I am back to work today not feeling 100% but just hoping what ever I got does not come back again.

One good thing I accomplished while I was laying in bed being miserable I listed to an audio book by Bill Bryson called "A Walk In The Woods", what a highly entertaining book! Between blowing my nose and groaning I was laughing out loud. It a story of a writer who decides to hike a portion of the Appalachian Trail starting in GA he brings along an unlikely companion and its very informative, funny and made me want to look up information on hiking the Appalachian trail....not that I would be brave enough to ever do it and that is because there are bears and mountain lions and poisonous snakes and you have to poo outside and no showers for days until you hit a town. I love camping but I know where I camp the most dangerous animal is maybe a coyote and there are the camp showers and bathrooms.

Well I am getting ready to go home and NO there will be no cooking for me tonight I am stopping and picking up some nice Tennessee Bar-B-Que Ribs for dinner along with corn bread and corn on the cob.

Does anyone else watch LOST? It was such a good episode last night and now we have two weeks for the next episode, I hate when they do that.

Update on my aunt and unexpected snowstorm...WTF?

Hi everyone,

Sorry for the swear in the picture but that is exactly how I feel right now. We were suppose to have a light flurry today nothing major so I have not watched the weather.....well now we are expected to have over a foot of snow tonight into tomorrow. It just all melted!!!!! Dave was suppose to travel but his flight is cancelled (was suppose to fly to PA) then catch a flight to Fla the next day.
This my aunt Mona when she was young, this is the only picture I have on my pc the other ones are on discs....

I would like to thank everyone for prayers for my aunt and mom. Well the news is not the best but not the worse either for my aunt, well maybe it will be okay I hope. They did her heart test and she has 80 percent blockage on one side and 60 percent on the other, she also found out she has diabetes. She is scheduled for a triple bypass tomorrow afternoon. I will be walking on egg shells until I find out how she is, as if something happens to her I am so afraid for my mom going into another major seizure. I also want my aunt Mona to be 100 percent better she is a great mother who has home schooled all her children and they are all whiz kids earning scholarships and great jobs. I just wanted to post some pictures of some of the kids and my mom visiting them in WI. I pray that it is all alright those kids need their mom after losing their dad.
