Update on Dave

Hi Everyone,

I want to thank you all for the kind thoughts and prayers. Dave is still in intensive care, they tell me it could be weeks. Yesterday when I went to visit he was kind of waking up and they kind of spazzing out because of the breathing tube down his throat and tube in his nose. They are trying to get the medications right so he does not wake up as I guess he was pulling at stuff last night trying to get out of the bed even though his hands are tied down! You know I have yet to see his mysterious doctor, I get all my info from nurses who know be name and face now as I am there everyday. They where going to take the breathing tube out but decided to keep him on it for a few more days. He has had a fever for over a week which finally is seeming to break he has a temp around 99 today, they say they think he has a bacterial infection from one of their lines they had in him.....Nice (why not change them more often???) I came back to work yesterday and it kills me to sit here all day and not be with him. I have been there everyday . Please keep the prayers coming as I hope he had no organ damage or more complications. Forgive me if I do not comment on your blogs as I am trying just to get by day to day, I have lost 13 lbs or so in 12 days what a way to lose weight.

Lots of Prayers needed

I just wanted to let people know who where not aware that last Friday I had to have Dave rushed to the hospital. He was diagnosed with acute pancreatitus, at first they said they would have to manage his pain and may be out in a few days. It went from bad to worse they had to rush him up to intensive care early Sat nite/sun morning. He is now on a ventilator and 9 different iv's they have to keep him unconcious. I was told if he does not improve he may not make it. I do not want to believe this, and need all the prayers I can get. I am trying to keep it together but it is very hard. I may not be online that much but any prayers you can send would be comforting.
Thanks
T

My day was ruined yesterday……

Sorry to the people who read my blog and also read my Face book if you have to hear me complain twice. Any how I got a phone call from Dave yesterday saying the lawn guy was out front and Dave thought he was near my flowers…….Sure enough 5 minutes later I got a call from my landlord who said he accidentally cut down all my flowers out front going up the walk way. She said she stopped him and it was not all gone, well that was not the truth I got home and to my horror everything was weed wacked to nothing! I almost started crying. He cut down Lilies, Petunia’s, cosmos, wild flowers, Spicata’s, and daisies; I was so lucky he did not take out the Gladiolas too! They where all just getting big and getting ready to bloom. Unfortunately I have the bad temper of both Sicilian and Irish combined it would of been best if the landlord just stayed away from me last night…ah but that was not to be so she got an earful I am not mad at her but let it be known I thought the lawn guy sucked. I gave her a list to give to him to reimburse me, I refuse to take payment from her as a matter of principle. He told her everything would grow back…(well rocket scientist if you did not realize you where cutting down flowers how do you know they will grow back??)

****vindication is mine****

Just got an email that the landscaper will giving me a check for all that he damaged. To me I could care less about the money but it is the principle.

Now its silly time:

Wacky Wednesday!

funny-pictures-cat-tries-to-rescue-cat-from-photo

Hiya,

Well we are at that magical half way point in the work week…Hump day.  Today is beautiful and sunny and now those rat b*stard weather men are forecasting rain for the next few days and then COLD only in the 50’s for the weekend!  Come on it is almost summer, see what Global warming is doing.   I am just  going to post some funny stuff for  everyone I hope it makes your day!  I have pictures on my camera I have to upload to share but that is a weekend project.  Peace my friends!

**********************************************

old

A man was sitting on the edge of the bed, observing his wife, looking at
herself in the mirror. Since her birthday was not far off he asked what
she'd like to have for her Birthday.
'I'd like to be six again', she replied, still looking in the
mirror.
On the morning of her Birthday, he arose early, made her a nice big bowl of
Lucky Charms, and then took her to Six Flags theme park. What a day!
He put her on every ride in the park; the Death Slide, the Wall of Fear,
the  screaming Monster Roller Coaster, everything there was.
Five hours later they staggered out of the theme park..
Her head was reeling  and her stomach felt upside down.
He then took her to a McDonald's where he ordered her a Happy Meal with
extra fries and a chocolate shake.
Then it was off  to a movie, popcorn, a soda pop, and her favorite  candy,
M&M's. What a fabulous adventure! Finally she wobbled home with her
husband
and collapsed into bed exhausted. He leaned over his wife with a big smile
and lovingly asked, 'Well Dear,  what was it like being six again?'
Her eyes slowly opened and her expression sudden ly changed. 'I meant my
dress size, you retard!!!!'
The moral of the story:
Even when a man is  listening, he is gonna get it wrong.

Friday Shoot out…..The Letter M

Well it is Friday again Woo Hoo, and today’s Shoot out is all about the letter M. Marvelous just marvelous. So let us begin:

M is for Meteorite as in:

Boy Hit by Meteorite Traveling at 30,000 MPH

A stunned schoolboy is thanking his lucky stars after surviving a direct hit by a meteorite as it hurtled to Earth at more than 30,000 mph. Gerrit Blank, 14, was rushing to school when he saw a massive fireball heading straight towards him from the sky. "At first I just saw a large ball of light, and then I suddenly felt a pain in my hand," he explained. "Then a split second after that there was an enormous bang like a crash of thunder," added Gerrit. The white-hot meteorite hit the ground so hard it left a foot wide crater in the tarmac and a three-inch long scar on Gerrit's hand where it bounced off him.

Today’s Morality Lesson….

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a
well. The animal cried piteously for hours as
the farmer tried to figure out what to do.
Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the
well needed to be covered up anyway;
it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.
He invited all his neighbors to come over and
help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began
to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the
donkey realized what was happening and cried
horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he
quieted down.
A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally
looked down the well. He was astonished at what
he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his
back, the donkey was doing something amazing.
He would shake it off and take a step up.
As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel
dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it
off and take a step up.
Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey
stepped up over the edge of the well and
happily trotted off!
Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds
of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well
is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of
our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out
of the deepest wells just by not stopping,
never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.
Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

Free your heart from hatred - Forgive.
Free your mind from worries - Most never happen.
Live simply and appreciate what you have.
Give more.
Expect less.
NOW ............

Enough of that crap . . The donkey later came back,
and bit the farmer who had tried to bury him.
The gash from the bite got infected and
the farmer eventually died in agony from septic shock.
MORAL FROM TODAY'S LESSON:

When you do something wrong, and try to cover
your ass, it always comes back to bite you.

Things that make you go Awwww, and just stuff

Anybody else have one these lying mirrors that make you look fatter than you really are??

Hi Folks,
Just another boring regular work week nothing much to write about without boring you to tears. As most of you know I despise Wednesdays it is such a nothing day....it's not the beginning of the week, not the end of the week....blah. I vote we get rid of Wednesday's all together! Tonight I am off to the grocery store to get her royal Highness her special (expensive)wet kitty food and kitty treats. My dang cat refuses to eat the regular wet cat food now after once I gave her one of those stupid fancy schmancy ones that is not even 1/2 the size of regular can of cat food but costs twice the price.

(Do not ask me what this is I just thought it was funny in a creepy kind of way)

I had to drop Dave off this morning for a quick flight to North Carolina for work he will be back tomorrow. So that means it's t.v. dinner night. I swear if I was single I would be the size of a pencil because I refuse to cook for myself. I open the fridge and stare at all the frozen meats and veggies I have in stock then close it again and go uhhh I do not want to cook any of that. Lean cuisine dinner is on the menu for tonight, which of course I will be hungry again in an hour. I do not mind cooking for Dave or other people but I hate cooking for myself for some reason.....I am weird. Alrighty then I am out of here so have a good night.

(OMG too cute!!!)

Friday Shootout….subject Random

Happy Friday Everyone!

For my regular readers I joined a fun group called The Friday Shootout.  A subject is given for every Friday and all you do is put pictures/with stories if you want regarding the subject of the week.  If you would like to join you can send Gordon a message be sure to give him your name, state and blog address:  http://fridayshootouts.blogspot.com

Look at all the members on the right and you can check out there posts to get an idea on how to do it.

*********************************************************

This is my first Friday Shootout….I am so excited!  Today’s subject was Random stuff so here goes.  I have chosen Camping fun as my subject.  (*Note I have literally thousand’s of camping pictures so these may be different camp grounds, equipment, and times of year.)

********************************************************

1. Find someone  responsible to watch your fur baby.  She is saying Come back Mommy and Daddy!

2. Finding a campground always helps.

5. It is set up time, I always bring a rake as I am anal and hate a messy campsite.  Then start setting up all of your gear.  Make it like your outside home especially if you will be there all week!

Our old tent

Our new tent it is huge but a pain to set up this one requires it to be staked in the ground…yuck.

6. okay now it is time for FIRE….  If you have to make your own pit go into the woods for stones.  Only cut up dead tree’s never live ones!  It’s good to throw so tikki oil when you start your fire as it keeps away the bugs.
