Prayers needed...

Hi everyone,

I know I have not posted in a while...life has just been busy. Today; I got some double bad news My aunt Mona had a heart attack she is only in her fifities and is a widow with 6 children the youngest 15. She lives in WI so she is not near to me so I can go to the hospital and visit or be with my cousins to give them comfort. They are terrified because they lost their dad about 5 years ago to a heart attack. He was a mail main and never came home from his rural route, they found him off the road 2 days later passed away from a heart attack. This was a huge blow for the family since they are very close, the kids where so scared today.....and my aunt did not want to go to the hospital but thankfully her son called for the ambulance. When I found out this afternoon from my momwho is also not well as her brain tumor is growing back and she has been having seizures a lot lately she said it upset her so much she started to have a seizure but took one of her pills to stop it. So now I have a double blammy to worry about. I know everyone has bad things happen in their family....Missy My love goes out to you with all your losses and Lori has had so much to deal with, and Missie has been going through major operations, Dutch has had to deal with an operation, Indigo has memories that can be haunting
and so many more.....just some examples but I appreciate all my online buddies and I just ask a prayer.....I do not to leave anybody out because we all are human and life is not always fair...thats just the way it us.....Peace and love my friends but please remember me in your prayers tonight

Love T

What day is it???

I am confused it feels like Monday because I had yesterday off......but it is worst than a Monday because now I am totally back logged because everybody and their mother decided to buy a new car this weekend due to the holiday sales. Dave had to leave again this morning for another week long trip but at least it is only 4 days instead of 5. I am totally playing the lottery tomorrow night it is up to 103 million dollars!!!!

My weekend for the most part was pretty nice. I was too tired on Valentine's day to go anywhere so Dave went to a Restaurant near us and bought me home my favorite meal, Prime Rib, Baked potatoes and Veggies. It was so good! And then we watched girl movies all day...LOL He said I could watch whatever I wanted so Romance it was. Yesterday we watched a marathon of a TV show called" Dead like me" on the Sci Fi Channel it was so funny it is about this 18 year old who got killed but she did not go to heaven she became a grim Reaper so she has a grim reaper boss and co-workers and they have to have regular day job's also. We watched it from 1:30 until 7:pm. Then I watched a movie called "Definitely, Maybe" that was cute. I was going to go to bed after that but Dirty Dancing was on so I watched that too and stayed up way too late and now I am tired.

Well I have to get back to work but hope your day is good!

Friday the 13th the prelude to a romantic weekend?

Hi again

I figured I should do a post to wish everyone a nice romantic weekend, or if you do not do Valentine's day I hope you have a good weekend anyhow. I know my Dave is chomping at the bit for Nascar Sunday. I do not really have any plans at least that I know of for tomorrow, I got Dave a card and big solid chocolate lips that will make him happy. I kind of think Valentine's day is for the young and new couple's, as long as I get m
y flowers I will be happy I do not need to go anywhere....but if I do I will let you know. I am just tickled pink it is a long weekend...woohoo!

I had a new customer walk in a little while ago and I had to literally bite my lip from laughing. I do not think it is nice to make fun of how people look but this was a little funny. She was 35 not a kid and she had bright red hair which is not bad at all but she had it sprayed bright pink in short pigtails sticking straight out of the side of her head. All I could think of was OMG it's Pippi Longstockings on crack.

Do you remember Pippi Longstockings? I loved those movies growing up as a kid. She was a little girl who was as strong as 10 men or more and her dad was a pirate and she lived alone with a monkey when her dad was at sea, she made friends with 2 kids next door and they had lots of fun adventure's. Oh man I think I am losing my mind it must be time to leave work does anybody really care about Pippi Longstockings????

I thought I had finally gotten Delilah to get rid of her Woobie toy (you know the toy she has had since a kitten and will not let me burn)but she found it again and has been dragging it all through the house and putting it on my pillow when I am sleeping. I am going to have to try to bribe her with kitty treats but I am afraid what she will do to me if I take her toy from her she has a very good memory for a demon cat.

Well give your sweety a hug this weekend and if you do not have a sweety here is a big cyber hug from me ((((((((((((hug)))))))))))))))!

Fake Spring Fever & BFF Awards

It is so beautiful here today I have fake spring fever! It is 55 degree's out the sun is shining the dirty snow piles are melting my heart is light as a feather. Now I know 55 may not seem warm to some of my Southern friends but to us Northerner's it's T shirt weather!

I was watching the new's last night and saw all the destruction in Oklahoma by those tornadoes that is some scary stuff. That is one thing that would just freak me out (tornadoes). I can deal with Snow, Ice, heat waves, flooding the occasional hurricane but I do not want to be like Dorothy on the Wizard of Oz and find my house in a different area code thank you very much.

Thank you, Thank You Melissa (copy the picture and but it in your blog)

I was given the BFF Award from my dear friends Melissa over at http://somewhere2hide.blogspot.com

The Rules are you give this to 5 of your friends and they in turn pass it along to 5 more people. I Want to be a rule breaker though so this is for my buddies and if I give it to more than 5 then sue me.

Right back to Melissa at: http://somewhere2hide.blogspot.com

http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/02/09/rural.alaska.villages/index.html?eref=rss_topstories

I will not complain about a drive to the grocery store again! It's a Monday and I already wish it was Friday, looking forward to a long 3 day weekend! It finally warmed up over the weekend and a lot of the snow melted.....well we still have a lot but you can see the sidewalks and a little grass at least!

I did not sleep well last night I kept waking up so I am tired today, I hate nights like that. I found the cutest picture's on a blog I read and had to share:

Apparently it is now alright to advertise how to cheat on you spouse

So I am driving to work this morning in a UN-decaffeinated state listening to the radio. They start playing this skit where they have different people both men and woman telling how dissatisfying their love lives have become with their spouses. Then they go on to say when you want to stay married but need have a discreet affair go to this website. I am waiting for the punch line and there is none! So now it is okay to cheat on your spouse and break the vows of marriage without getting caught. I am not even going to put the website up to adve
rtise for this disgusting company.

I am not even married but what about making your marriage work and seeking counseling if things are not going well. If you cannot work it out then get a Divorce. Have we become a society of liars and cheaters and it is A-OK as long as no one finds out?

Alright I am done ranting. Today is a good day I am in a better mood and I have clean sparkling floors! Oh wait I thought of something else to complain about. Last night I decided to get a real mop instead of my swiffer; so I go to the supermarket af
ter work go buy one. Now can you believe they charged me $20 for a flipping mop?

This mop did not magically wash my floors for me or anything cool like that. It was a regular mop made by Mr.Clean with a blue head that you can ring out by pulling a lever. I need to quit insurance and start selling mops I will be rich before you know it.

Have a great day!

Melancholy kind of day.....and some happy photo's of our Shark Adventure's and more.

panda2

Did you ever have one of those day's where you just can not get into the groove of things, and you felt sad for no logical reason?  Well that is my day today.

I feel exhausted and I do not know why I went to bed at 10:15 p.m. last night and did not get up until 7:35 a.m. this morning.  I was in a deep, deep sleep this morning I had to force my eye's open and I had hit the snooze button twice which is something that I never do.

I wonder if it is because Dave is away  and I am not being woken up by his snoring all night long I am falling into too deep of a sleep if that is possible.  It could be just that I miss him even his annoying snoring. I have been keeping myself busy after work with chore's.

Maybe I need to have a day off tonight but I really want to vacuum the whole house and then scrub the floor's then take the very last of the Christmas decorations down but we will see.

Well something that may cheer me up is sharing some more of my vacation picture's I hope you like them.

We went to Sombrero Beach, but when I saw this sign I was a little nervous

DSC03525

This house was directly across from the beach...not too shabby

DSC03526

The walkway on to the beach, note the beaches in the key's are not huge sandy beaches

DSC03530

A view of the beach

DSC03537

I went into the water twice then right up by the shoreline I saw this!!!  That is right a Man-of-War!

DSC03543

These nasty little buggers will ruin your vacation if stepped on, I then took it upon myself to warn everyone walking by not to step on it.

DSC03546

After leaving the beach since it was not the same if I could not at least get wet with out being stung to death by jellyfish Dave purchased a rod at the local K-mart.  We went to the 7 mile bridge and found an embankment he told me to hold the line for a minute while he got some bait.  Then something started pulling really, really hard on the line....I was freaking out calling Dave, he came just in time to grab the rod.  He fought with what ever it was for almost 30 minutes....until the line snapped.  We found out later that large sharks hang under where we were fishing.  Can you imagine our faces if we pulled jaws out of the water!

DSC03589

Above he was really fighting with the rod it was bending so much!

DSC03597

Dave is like what is this!!!!

The next day we stopped by the Iguana cages and saw some of new lizard friends.

DSCF0163

This red one was the only one we could not hold as he was not very friendly, but as seen below is Iggy he is the best just like a baby.  He loves to be held and cuddle's like a scaly kitten.

DSCF0178

DSCF0179

MMMM flowers, my favorite!

DSCF0188

DSCF0195

We stopped here on midmorning for a great breakfast, it is a local place and the food was good and the decorations very cool.  It is called the wooden spoon and the whole place has all different type's of what else....wooden spoon's on the walls.

DSC03653

DSC03650

Here is one wall showing the specials

Now on to our great SHARK fishing expedition, we went to the bridge around 4:30 and a few couples where there.  We talked to them and they had not had any bites all day!  We where there no more than 45 minutes and Dave caught a baby Hammer head shark, which he threw back of course...then low and behold I caught one 5 minutes later and it was a totally different one because mine was smaller.  Everyone could not believe our luck.  I of course let mine go too, I do not touch fish or Sharks for that matter I just like holding the rod.

DSC03680

DSC03701

DSCF0249

Grrrr I want to bite you human!

DSCF0243

And now my shark I caught

DSC03716

I had to have some guy hold him while I took the picture because I was afraid he would bite me.

DSCF0255

See the clouds rolling in, we had one tropical storm the whole time we where there, it lasted about 2 hours then it was gone.

DSCF0272

Well I feel better now re-living some vacation memories :)

Just a little update and some fun facts about 1908

Hi

I just wanted to say hello to everyone, I hope your week is going well. Congratulation's to the Steelers I only watched 1/2 time and the last 10 minutes of the game. Not too much is going on for me to write about yesterday was just a normal work day and after work I went grocery shopping. Then when I got home I put the groceries away and did chore's, see my life is extremely boring in the winter.
My Dave flew out yesterday for the week for business, I felt bad for him because his travels started at noon time and did not end until almost 9:30 p.m. last night. He had to catch 2 planes then wait for a co-worker's plane to land then they had to drive to the hotel. I think he is in MI now and after the training people today he has a 5 hour drive tonight to the next job in IL....not fun I will keep my boring old desk job.
Yesterday it was a wonderful 50 + degree's out and now we are in the middle of another snowstorm. I know everyone is sick of hearing about the weather but I will sure be happy when Spring gets here. Alright here is some interesting facts I got in an email and wanted to share. Happy Tuesday all!

THE YEAR 1908

This will boggle your mind, I know it did mine!
The year is 1908.
One hundred years ago.
What a difference a century makes!
Here are some statistics for the Year 1908 :
************ ********* ********* ******
The average life expectancy was 47 years.

Only 14 percent of the homes had a bathtub.

Only 8 percent of the homes had a telephone.
***********************************
There were only 8,000 cars and only 144 miles
Of paved roads.

The maximum speed limit in most cities was 10 mph.
*****************************

The tallest structure in the world was the
Eiffel Tower!
******************************

The average wage in 1908 was 22 cents per hour.
The average worker made between $200 and $400 per year .

A competent accountant could expect to earn $2000 per year,
A dentist $2,500 per year, a veterinarian between $1,500 and $4,000 per year, and a mechanical engineer about $5,000 per year.
*********************************

More than 95 percent of all births took place at
HOME . Ninety percent of all doctors had NO COLLEGE EDUCATION! Instead, they attended so-called medical schools, many of which Were condemned in the press AND the government as 'substandard. ' **************************************************
Sugar cost four cents a pound.
Eggs were fourteen cents a dozen. Coffee was fifteen cents a pound. ********************
Most women only washed their hair once a month, and used
Borax or egg yolks for shampoo. *****************
Canada passed a law that prohibited poor people from Entering into their country for any reason. **************************
Five leading causes of death were:
1. Pneumonia and influenza
2. Tuberculosis
3. Diarrhea
4. Heart disease
5. Stroke

The American flag had 45 stars.
****************************

The population of
Las Vegas , Nevada, was only 30!!!!
**************

Crossword puzzles, canned beer, and ice tea
Hadn't been invented yet.
*********************

There was no Mother's Day or Father's Day.
*********************

Two out of every 10 adults couldn't read or write.
Only 6 percent of all Americans had graduated from high school. ***************************
Marijuana, heroin, and morphine were all available over the counter at the local corner drugstores. Back then pharmacists said, 'Heroin clears the complexion, gives buoyancy to the mind, regulates the stomach and bowels, and is, in fact, a perfect guardian of health.' ( Shocking? DUH! )
*************

Eighteen percent of households had at least
One full-time servant or domestic help.
*************
There were about 230 reported murders in the ENTIRE !
U.S.A. !
*************

Now this has been forwarded from someone else without my typing
It myself, and it has been sent to you and others all over Canada & U.S.A
Possibly the world, in a matter of seconds!

Try to imagine what it may be like in another 100 years.
IT STAGGERS THE MIND!!!!!!!!!!!
