I want to thank you all for the kind thoughts and prayers. Dave is still in intensive care, they tell me it could be weeks. Yesterday when I went to visit he was kind of waking up and they kind of spazzing out because of the breathing tube down his throat and tube in his nose. They are trying to get the medications right so he does not wake up as I guess he was pulling at stuff last night trying to get out of the bed even though his hands are tied down! You know I have yet to see his mysterious doctor, I get all my info from nurses who know be name and face now as I am there everyday. They where going to take the breathing tube out but decided to keep him on it for a few more days. He has had a fever for over a week which finally is seeming to break he has a temp around 99 today, they say they think he has a bacterial infection from one of their lines they had in him.....Nice (why not change them more often???) I came back to work yesterday and it kills me to sit here all day and not be with him. I have been there everyday . Please keep the prayers coming as I hope he had no organ damage or more complications. Forgive me if I do not comment on your blogs as I am trying just to get by day to day, I have lost 13 lbs or so in 12 days what a way to lose weight.

They can't keep changing the tubes because that can damage the wind pipe but they are suppose to irragate the line so it don't get stuck in there, if that's what i remember from the last time I was on the vent.

I'm glad you had a chance to update. I know a little of what you are going through as my deceased husband Mel had a bad stroke when he was only 45. He did get better and your Dave can too. My prayers will continue until he is much better.
My prayers are still with you. I know this has go to be so hard on you. Just know that you have a lot of people here to support you.

I do know what you're going thru. Two years ago, my brother was put on a ventilator for 2 weeks. Keeping your husband in my prayers.

Im sorry for that you have to go thru that. I hope Dave will get better soon. Why is his hands tied down?
Oh Tabby, what a frightening nightmare! I cannot even imagine! Please DEMAND that the doctor be in touch with you! Healthy wishes for you both!
