Is it the Weekend yet?: The party was a Success!

The party turned out great I was busy and up at 6:30 am Saturday morning to get things ready. I went to Walmart at 7:30 a.m. and got a few things along with a new fire pit and a new Swiffer mop/broom....this is really good for me as I am not a morning person.

The night before my Dave made the macaroni salad, marinated the steak tips, and put the potoes in olive oil, with minced garlic and parsley. I decided to pull out some Halloween decorations to put out, so even though we are not all the way moved in yet I wanted a little decor stuff going on. Geesh my curtains are tacked up in the living room still and pictures are not hung because we still have to paint. The food turned out very good everyone liked it, we had one minor mishap with the grill it was not lighting evenly so Dave had to finish the steak tips in the stove. Now this is just another reason for Dave to get his big stainless Steel man grill he has wanted, we where out the next nite looking at them....Im going to need another porch just to put it on. It was a good day, My mom got to see her 2 brothers and 1 sister along with there spouses. That is only a few of them my mother is the oldest of 9 so its really a party if everyone is together but that rarely happens. Mom has been sick this year she has had a mini stroke and a couple of seizures due to her brain tumor that is growing back so I wanted to have a good day for her, here are some pics of everyone:

Everyone stayed about 3 hours it was a busy day and they had other family things to go to but it was a good time had by all. Now my Uncle Johnny and mom stayed later as I will get too but first my bloody thumb story: I was so busy making sure every had what they needed I really did not get to relax until most of them left and we vegged out by the fire pit, but 1st me being the anal compulsive person I am had to wash the pans and clean up before I could relax. Bad mistake! As I just finished washing a large thick glass pan I went to put it on the counter and it hit the side of the cabinet, shattering in my hand cutting my thumb pretty bad to be precisley. It was gross and I was getting dizzy, and since I do not have any idea where my bandaids are Dave had to rescue me with electrical tape and napkins.

Now this is a true story Dave was bringing the Birthday cake down and Howdy some how got to the bottom stair and tripped Dave luckily he saved the cake!
