OPENING DAY!
It's a day late due to being rained out yesterday but today is opening day in Boston, Go Sox! Do you know what that means spring really is coming! I have been hearing some weather reports from friends across the different states that they have gotten snow over the last few days.....Enough I think we are all ready for spring.
I started some flowers and veggies in a peat pellet starter green house this weekend. I also have some Tulips coming up inside the house! It was actually a Christmas present after they bloom I will transplant the bulbs outside. The herbs I planted are doing well also.
I do not have kids as most of you know but the one thing I miss about Easter is doing Easter eggs. Me and my sister would color eggs when we where kids and have a great time finding them Easter morning, knocking each other over in the process. I remember one year we could not find an egg until a while later....we smelled it...ewww.
Then it was always fun getting dressed up in our Easter outfits I remember bright black patent leather shoes, white gloves, and little square shaped pocket books. Growing up in the Seventies....I groan at some of those picture's here are few of us...what groovy clothes it's ok to laugh!

I am in the background and my little sister is in front, nice coat I think it was burnt orange (gag)Well as you can tell it's been a lame week as I do not have to much to post about I am getting cabin fever I just want the good weather to get outside and go camping, have cookouts, take boat rides.......Soon

I miss having little ones around at Easter too. No more coloring eggs, no more egg hunts.....

Herbs, Did i hear herbs?
They delayed the White Sox opener yesterday because of the snow and cold temperatures. What wimps! LOL As you can tell I am a Cub fan. I think this is going to be the first year that we haven't decorated eggs. I am not even sure if my daughter wants to or not. I love looking at old pictures and the clothes we all would wear in those days. I love the ponchos. My sister and I are only 14 months apart and my mom would dress us as twins. I can't believe how many pictures we have of us dressed alike. My Mom would make us wear hats and gloves all the time. We still have some snow left on the ground but I think it will all melt by tomorrow. Thanks goodness. I am ready like you said for outside. Just to bask in the sun. Bring it on.
