Woo Hoo we made it….it is FRIDAY! Today I have a smattering of stuff to share today. First thing I would like to post is one of my oldest girlfriend’s cousin Michael is over in Iraq and his family is hoping he will be home in June, God willing. Any way he made this funny video (he is the one doing the dancing) and his family wants him to feel like he is a star when he gets home. All I ask is you watch the video and leave any nice comments I can copy and paste back to his cousin. It really is funny you need sound on.
Okay onto the next order of business LOL, Swine flu is spreading but can your pet get it? This is from the ASPCA website:
1. Can My Pet Catch Swine Flu?
Don't worry, pet parents! The recent, rapid outbreak of the H1N1 virus, previously known as swine flu, appears to present little risk of infecting our furry friends. In the past few weeks, only humans have been affected by the new virus, and it's still unknown how the virus will impact other species.
"Currently there's no data demonstrating any risk of dogs and cats contracting this strain of the virus," says Dr. Louise Murray, Director of Medicine at the ASPCA's Bergh Memorial Hospital in New York City. "However, owners of pet pigs, as well as farmers, should monitor their animals' health more closely and take steps to limit transmission from humans to pigs and vice versa."
If you do count a pet pig as your animal companion, please consult with your veterinarian about a Type A influenza vaccine, which is available and recommended for all healthy swine.
Dr. Miranda Spindel, Director of ASPCA Veterinary Outreach, adds: "Swine influenza or swine flu is one of the leading causes of respiratory disease in swine throughout the world. Like most influenza A viruses, swine flu generally causes high levels of illness in pigs, but fatalities are uncommon."
For the latest information about the outbreak and your pet's health, please visit the Center for Disease Control (http://www.cdc.gov/swineflu). If you suspect your pet is ill or if he exhibits any sudden changes in behavior, please contact your veterinarian immediately.
Read the ASPCA's official statement on swine flu.
This is some scary stuff one of my friend’s in Fla say’s it has hit her area! My Dave is freaking out because he is always traveling for business, he was in Texas 2 weeks ago, just got back from AL and going to NJ next week. He wants to call the doctor to see if he can get the shot just in case. Plane’s are notorious for nasty germ carriers, I always get sick after I fly.

On to lighter things check out these funny LOL kitty pictures
This weekend is suppose to be a mixed bag of low 60’s clouds and rain. If it is cool tomorrow I may tackle the last large garden bed, I can not wait until everything is planted and done with. Sunday is suppose to be a wash out so I wont feel bad being a cheesy puff couch potato.
Oh ya one more thought just popped into my head. I have this little baby squirrel that has been eating out of one of my bird feeders. I really do not mind I put out enough for all the critters, any how he knows me know so I was sitting on the deck and he just sat there munching looking at me. He lets me get about a foot away from him before he runs. I am going to try to put food in my hand and see if he will eat it. Then you will be reading about how I had to get rabies shots…hee hee Here is one more Awesome video of a baby squirrel, I already put this on my face book and emailed it so it may be a repeat for some sorry but it is to dang cute. I hope you all have a great weekend! Peace my friends.

The swine flu might have hit Philadelphia now. It's not a confirmed case yet, but I'm sure by tomorrow it will be.
That's only 45 minutes from my house!
