Yummy Food entry

Hi  Everyone

Well I am home sick day 2, nasty cold but I am sure I will live.  I have pictures to share……YAY!  This weekend Dave made home made beef stew and yesterday he made Justine’s Artisan bread oooo boy I feel the inches going to my hips!

The stew in the slow cooker….Roast beef, onions, tons of seasonings, water, beef broth, celery, carrots, onions and potatoes.

The finished product!  He cut everything really big so it would be real chunky!

And next thanks to Justine’s wonderful 5 minute Artisan bread recipe he made this yesterday.  Go to by blogger buddies page for the wonderful and easy as pie recipe:  http://www.stupidisassisterdoes.com/2010/01/tuesdays-at-table-with-cole.html

This is a wonderful easy bread recipe, and there was left over dough we put in a zip lock bag in the fridge, it says it will stay good for 2 weeks but I am sure we will make more by then.  I am pretty sure the recipe calls for 6 cups of flower, 2 packs of yeast, and water.  After mixing you just let the dough rise for 2 hours, then you pull off the grapefruit size section you want to cook put it in the pan you are going to cook it in and let rise and additional 40 minutes.  Oh ya be sure to put corn meal or flour on the bottom of the pan so it does not stick.  Oh yes you have to score the dough so it does not crack while cooking.  It is a heavy wonderful bread that is really filling, again thanks to Justine for this!

We had a beautiful full moon the other night the sky was so blue and starry.

Well I hope everyone has a good week and hopefully you wont catch any cooties like I did!

I hope you feel better soon.
The beef stew and bread look amazing. I haven't made beef stew in ages. I think I will this weekend.
I have never tried making bread so wait I used to have a bread maker and I tried that but I wasn't very successful at it so I gave it to my sister. My hubby talks about when he would come home from school and smell his Mom's homemade bread. This recipe looks like I might be able to do it.
I wanted to thank you for all the great web sites you put on your blog. I will be using them.duchess1

Love it when any of the men in my house cook. Everything looked delicious! However, eating is the last thing on my mind after the morning I've had. lol

Rick took a moon pic the other night that I forgot to post. I guess I'll get it on the blog tomorrow.

I hope your feeling better today.
